Angela Logan of Teaneck, NJ, inspired the nation and the world, when during the mortgage crisis; she set a goal to sell 100 apple cakes in ten days to save her home of 20 years from foreclosure. She had baked 42 cakes in her home and sold them at $40 each, when her story went global: CBS, Fox, and Today Show with Ann Curry, CNN, MSNBC, Huffington Post, Montel Williams, Wendy Williams, Cake Boss, ABC’s More Magazine Reinvention Special; as well as many national magazines; thus saving her home from foreclosure. When the initial coverage led to thousands of cake orders, Bake Me A Wish, an internet gift cake company, baked and shipped her cakes all over the country, licensed her cakes, donating 5% of sale to GreenPath, a mortgage and debt solution company while Angela became a spokesperson for GreenPath.
Since then, Angela has appeared on Cake Boss, Catered the Super Bowl XLVIII V.I.P Tailgate Party. appeared in the Fancy Food Show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City and is the subject of the movie, Apple Mortgage Cake which stars Kimberly Elise on the UP network. (available on Amazon Prime) Now, Angela has her own store, Angela Logan's Mortgage Apple Cakes Bakery & Cafe. In addition to her Signature Cake, made with cream cheese frosting, Gala and Delicious Apples, Angela has added an Apple Rum Upside- Down Cake, made with three kind of juicy apples; an Apple Pound Cake drizzled with Ghirardelli’s White Chocolate, and a Caramel Apple Cake made with aromatic handmade caramel. Her cakes are sold at farmers markets throughout NY and NJ, in specialty stores and restaurants and orders can be picked up at her store location; 740 Chestnut Avenue in Teaneck, NJ.
